UPCOMING WEEKEND AND NIGHT WORKS ON PORT ROAD, CROYDON – 7/7/2017 – 10/7/2017

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be installing kerbing on the northern side of Port Road (from 429 to 431 Port Road, Croydon).

To minimise disturbance to peak hour traffic, intermittent day and night works will be undertaken from 7pm Friday 7 July to 6am Monday 10 July 2017, weather permitting.

We will contact residents and business operators in advance of any works that will have a direct impact, such as temporary driveway restrictions.

Key activities

  • Preparation and box out for kerbing
  • Compaction and curing of concrete

Equipment                                                                                                     

A vacuum truck, bobcat, excavator, trucks, compaction equipment and light vehicles will be used to perform these works. Lighting towers will also be in operation during night works.

Traffic management

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.
  • Lane and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
  • Signage will alert motorists to the changed traffic conditions.

Some noise can be expected, however the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to local residents as much as possible.
