UPCOMING NIGHT WORKS ON PORT ROAD, CROYDON – 28 AUGUST – 3 SEPTEMBER 2017

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be installing gantries on Port Road, near Queen Street, Croydon. On completion of the project, the gantries will be used to mount Intelligent Transport System infrastructure (electronic signage).

To minimise disturbance to peak hour traffic, and weather permitting, the works will take place intermittently each night between 7pm and 6am from Monday 28 August to Sunday 3 September 2017 (finishing 6am Sunday 3 September).

  • Service identification
  • Piling and form work
  • Pouring of concrete

A vacuum truck, piling rig, excavator, concrete trucks and light vehicles will be used to perform these works. Lighting towers will also be in operation during night works.

Traffic management

  • Lane and speed restrictions will apply on Port Road in the vicinity of the works.
  • Signage will alert motorists to the changed traffic conditions.

Works will be managed to minimise disturbance to local residents however some noise can be expected.
