UPCOMING NIGHT WORKS ON PORT ROAD, CROYDON – 13 – 17 NOVEMBER 2017

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be undertaking service relocation works on Port Road, between South Road and Queen Street, Croydon and installing gantries in the median on Port Road (outbound) near Coglin Street, Hindmarsh and inbound near Queen Street, Croydon. On completion of the project, the gantries will be used to mount Intelligent Transport System infrastructure (electronic signage).

To minimise disturbance to peak hour traffic, and weather permitting, the works will take place intermittently between 7pm and 6am from Monday 13 November to Friday 17 November 2017 (finishing 6am Friday 17 November 2017).

Key activities

  • Installation of water infrastructure
  • Installation of columns
  • Lifting and installation of beam
  • Testing of electronic signage

Excavators, vacuum truck, road saws, trucks, elevated work platform, impact wrench, mobile cranes and light vehicles will be used to perform these works. Lighting towers will also be in operation during night works.

Traffic Management

  • Lane and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
  • Signage will alert motorists to the changed traffic conditions.

Works will be managed to minimise disturbance to local residents however some minor noise can be expected at times.
