UPCOMING NIGHT WORKS AT THE COGLIN STREET RAIL CROSSING, HINDMARSH – 18 SEPTEMBER – 22 SEPTEMBER 2017

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be installing signalling conduits in the rail corridor, across the Coglin Street rail crossing.

To minimise disturbance to peak hour traffic, and weather permitting, the works will be carried out each night between 7pm and 6am from Monday 18 September to Friday 22 September 2017 (finishing 6am Friday 22 September).

During these works Coglin Street will be temporarily closed between Ridley Street and First Street each night from 7pm and reopen at 6am each morning.  

Key activities                                                                                               

  • Excavation of trench
  • Installation of signalling conduits
  • Backfill and reinstate area.

A vacuum truck, road saw, excavator, compaction equipment, trucks and light vehicles will be used to perform these works. Lighting towers will also be in operation during night works.

Traffic management

  • Lane and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works
  • Access to properties will be maintained
  • Signage will alert road users to changed traffic arrangements and local detours
  • Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained.

Works will be managed to minimise disturbance to local residents however some noise can be expected.
