UPCOMING NIGHT WORKS AND WEEKEND WORKS: TRAFFIC SWITCH TO NEW NORTHBOUND SURFACE ROAD ON SOUTH ROAD – 19/08/2016 to 22/08/2016

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be switching traffic on to the new northbound surface road on South Road between the Outer Harbor/Grange rail line and Torrens Road.

Changes to traffic arrangements at South Road will be implemented during the weekend of 19 – 22 August 2016.  To minimise disruption to peak hour traffic, the works will be undertaken from 7pm Friday 19 August until 6am Monday 22 August 2016, subject to weather conditions.

Key activities to be undertaken during this period include:

  • Installation of traffic signals, kerbing signage and temporary concrete traffic barriers
  • Removal of existing line marking and installation of new line marking
  • Asphalting

In addition, works to install the Port Road bridge beams will also be undertaken.

Some noise disturbance can be expected during this time, however works will be managed to minimise impact to local residents as much as possible.
