T2T – Torrens to Torrens Project

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be undertaking works in various locations at the South Road intersection with Grange Road/Manton Street.

To minimise disturbance to peak hour traffic, the works will take place from:

• 7pm Thursday 23 February to 6am Friday 24 February 2017.
• 7pm Friday 24 February to 6am Monday 27 February 2017.

Key Activities and Locations

• Sewer main connections in the south bound lanes of South Road, through the intersection, and in the left hand turn lane from South Road onto Manton Street.
• Installation of conduits in the north bound lanes of South Road, through the intersection.
• Installation of parapets on the northern side of the bridge structure.

A road saw, rock breaker, excavator, vacuum truck, compaction equipment, asphalt layer, light vehicles, trucks and lighting towers will be used to perform these works.

Traffic Management

• Lane and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
• Signage will alert motorists to the changed traffic conditions.
• The right turn movement from Manton Street into Bacon Street will continue to be provided.

Some noise disturbance can be expected at times while these works are completed, however the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to local residents as much as possible.
