UPCOMING NIGHT AND WEEKEND WORKS ON SOUTH ROAD BETWEEN HOTCHKISS CRESCENT AND OVERLAND ROAD, CROYDON PARK – 23 MARCH – 27 MARCH 2018

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be undertaking pavement works in the southbound lanes of South Road between Hotchkiss Crescent and Overland Road, Croydon Park.

To minimise disturbance to peak hour traffic, the works will be undertaken from 7pm Friday 23 March to 6am Monday 26 March, weather permitting. Testing of the pavement will also be undertaken intermittently from 7pm Monday 26 March to 6am Tuesday 27 March.

Key activities

  • Removal of existing road pavement
  • Laying new pavement, asphalting and line marking
  • Coring of the pavement

An excavator, profiler, compaction equipment, asphalt paver, rock breaker (intermittent only), trucks and light vehicles will be used to perform these works. Lighting towers will also be in operation during night works.

Traffic management

  • Access to some driveways may be temporarily impacted during these works.
  • Residents and business operators will be notified in advance of any works that will have a direct impact, such as temporary driveway restrictions.
  • Lane and speed restrictions will apply on South Road in the vicinity of the works.
  • Signage will alert motorists to the changed traffic conditions.
