UPCOMING NIGHT AND WEEKEND WORKS IN THE RAIL CORRIDOR BETWEEN QUEEN STREET AND COGLIN STREET- 14/4/2017 – 24/4/2017

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be undertaking intermittent works in the rail corridor between Queen Street and Coglin Street, and on South Road between

McInnes Street and the Outer Harbor rail overpass, prior to installing noise walls and the grade separated shared use path.

Key activities include:

Day works in the rail corridor between South Road and Coglin Street:

  • Concrete works for the shared use path between South Road and Coglin Street from Friday 14 April to Monday 24 April 2017.

Day works in the rail corridor adjacent to Day Terrace and Euston Terrace:

  • Delivery and installation of an approach slab on the western embankment of the grade separated shared use path on Tuesday 18 April 2017.
  • Installation of stormwater infrastructure from Tuesday 18 April to Sunday 23 April 2017.
  • Installation of noise wall columns from Tuesday 18 April to Monday 24 April 2017.

Night works:

  • Painting and other minor works on and under the Outer Harbor rail overpass each night, from

7pm to 7am from Tuesday 18 April to Saturday 22 April 2017.

  • Delivery of an approach slab for the grade separated shared use path via the southbound lanes of South Road, between McInnes Street and the Outer Harbor rail line between 1am and 7am on Wednesday 19 April 2017.

A 200t crane, excavator, mobile crane, loaders, concrete trucks, elevated work platform, concrete boom pump, trucks, and light vehicles will be used to perform these works. Lighting towers will also be in operation during night works.

Some noise can be expected, however the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to local residents and businesses as much as possible.
