Due to the forecast rain this weekend, the pavement and asphalt reinstatement works on Port Road (between South Road and Queen Street) scheduled for 7pm Friday 23 June to 6am Monday 26 June 2017 have been postponed to 7pm Friday 7 July to 6am Monday 10 July 2017.

As previously advised, the T2T Alliance is undertaking pavement and asphalt reinstatement works on Port Road. This weekend, the works will move to the northern side of Port Road between South Road and Queen Street.

To minimise disruption to peak hour traffic, the works will be undertaken from 7pm Friday 23 June to 6am Monday 26 June 2017.

Depending on the works progress, some finishing night works immediately after these weekends may be required, and any residents directly affected by these works will be notified if this is required.

Key activities

  • Removal of existing road pavement
  • Laying new pavement, asphalting and line marking

Some noise and vibration can be expected during these works, however, the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to local residents and businesses as much as possible. Experiencing vibration does not mean that structural damage to the property will occur. Noise and vibration monitoring equipment will be in place, to ensure they do not exceed compliance levels.
