UPCOMING DAY AND NIGHT WORKS IN THE PORT ROAD MEDIAN BETWEEN COGLIN STREET AND ANNE STREET, HINDMARSH – 1-6 NOVEMBER

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance is undertaking kerbing and asphalting works in the Port Road median car park between Coglin Street and Anne Street, Hindmarsh, weather permitting.

These works will be undertaken from:

  • 11.30am to 4.30 pm (approximately ) on Wednesday 1 November 2017
  • 5pm Sunday 5 November to 6am Monday 6 November 2017

Key activities

  • Repair of kerbing at car park entrance
  • Finishing asphalting works and line marking in the car park

A concrete truck, asphalting equipment, line-marking equipment, trucks and light vehicles will be used to perform these works. Lighting towers will also be in operation during night works.

Some noise can be expected during these works, however, the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to local residents and businesses as much as possible.

From 6am Monday 6 November 2017, the Port Road median car park between Coglin Street and Anne Street will be open.

Temporary traffic arrangements

During these times:

  • The centre median on Port Road at Coglin Street will be closed.
  • Right turns from Port Road westbound (towards the beach) on to Coglin Street will not be permitted.
  • U-turns at Coglin Street for westbound traffic on Port Road will not be permitted. Motorists will need to use the u-turn facility at Queen Street to head east.
  • U-turns at Coglin Street for eastbound traffic on Port Road will be maintained.
  • Left turns in to Coglin Street from Port Road will be maintained.
  • Left turns from Coglin Street on to Port Road will be maintained.
  • Reminder: Coglin Street is temporarily closed at Ridley Street while rail upgrade works are being completed.
  • Signage will alert road users to the changed traffic conditions.
