TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH ON THE NORTH WEST CORNER OF THE SOUTH ROAD INTERSECTION WITH PORT ROAD – 15/02/2017 FOR UP TO SIX WEEKS

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance is undertaking service relocation works and will be reinstating the footpath on the north west corner of the South Road intersection with Port Road, adjacent the SA Power Networks substation.

To facilitate these works:

  • The footpath adjacent to the SA Power Networks substation on Port Road will be temporarily closed from 7am Wednesday 15 February 2017 for approximately six weeks.
  • The footpath on South Road between Princes Street and South Road will be temporarily closed from 7am Wednesday 15 February 2017 for approximately six weeks.
  • Pedestrian access will not be permitted on this section of South Road or Port Road at any time during this period.
  • No pedestrian access will be permitted from Princes Street to South Road.

Alternative pedestrian detour routes and signage will be in place to direct pedestrians and cyclists to the available footpaths and pedestrian crossings.

Pedestrians should always cross at signalised pedestrian crossings where available and use the pedestrian mazes on Coglin and Queen Streets when crossing the Outer Harbor and Grange rail line.
