NIGHT AND WEEKEND WORKS IN THE RAIL CORRIDOR BETWEEN COGLIN STREET AND CHIEF STREET, BROMPTON- JULY TO NOVEMBER 2017

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be undertaking intermittent works in the rail corridor between Coglin Street and Chief Street, Brompton from July to November 2017. These intermittent works will be undertaken at night, and during temporary closures of the Outer Harbor and Grange rail lines, for the Torrens Junction Project. The T2T Alliance will provide advance notification as works proceed.

Key activities

  • Removal of existing track between Coglin Street and Chief Street
  • Removal of redundant rail platform between West Street and Chief Street
  • Construction of a shared use path and security fence along the rail corridor between Coglin Street and Chief Street
  • Installation of a new track drainage system
  • Installation of new rail track
  • Installation of automated level crossings on Coglin Street and West Street
  • Installation of a pedestrian bridge over Chief Street

Temporary traffic arrangements

Depending on the location of the works there may be temporary traffic/pedestrian restrictions in place on Coglin Street, West Street and/or Chief Street. Further details of temporary traffic arrangements will be provided in advance as works progress. Signage will alert motorists, pedestrians and cyclists to changed traffic conditions and alternative routes.
