Traffic arrangements within the project area are constantly changing as major construction works progress and move forward. The plans below outline the major traffic management arrangements that are expected to be in place and are subject to change.

This page will be regularly updated to reflect the latest traffic changes in different locations within the project footprint.

As part of ongoing T2T Project works, lane and speed restrictions will be in place this weekend along South Road and Hawker Street, weather permitting.

South Road intersection with Hawker Street from 7pm Friday 28 July to 6am Monday 31 July 2017:

  • Hawker Street will be closed at South Road
  • one lane maintained for northbound traffic on South Road between Harriet Street and Bedford Street
  • one lane maintained for southbound traffic on South Road between Torrens Road and Paget Street

South Road from 7pm Friday 28 July to 6am Monday 31 July 2017:

  • one lane maintained for northbound traffic between Port Road and Day Terrace
  • one lane maintained for northbound traffic between Harriet Street and Bedford Street
  • one lane maintained for southbound traffic between Torrens Road and Paget Street

Upgrade to arterial roads provide alternative routes during major road works on the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure has recently upgraded a number of arterial roads west of the City to ease congestion during the Torrens Road  to River Torrens Project.
