Traffic arrangements within the project area are constantly changing as major construction works progress and move forward. The plans below outline the major traffic management arrangements that are expected to be in place and are subject to change.

This page will be regularly updated to reflect the latest traffic changes in different locations within the project footprint.

Current traffic arrangements

As part of ongoing T2T Project works, lane and speed restrictions will be in place this weekend along South Road, Grange Road/Manton Street and Port Road, weather permitting.

South Road intersection with Grange Road/Manton Street from 7pm Friday 26 May to 6am Monday 29 May 2017:

  • one lane maintained for northbound traffic on South Road between Gawler Avenue and Port Road
  • one lane maintained for westbound traffic, including turning traffic, on Manton Street/Grange Road between Bacon Street and Jervois Avenue
  • one lane maintained for eastbound traffic, including turning traffic, on Grange Road between Bertie Street and South Road

South Road intersection with Port Road:

  • from 7pm Friday 26 May to 6am Saturday 27 May 2017:
    • one lane maintained for westbound traffic on Port Road between South Road and Coglin Street
    • one lane maintained for northbound traffic on South Road between Port Road and Bond Street
  • from 7pm Friday 26 May to 6am Monday 29 May 2017:
    • one lane maintained for southbound traffic on South Road between Port Road and Ridley Street
  • from 6am Saturday 27 May to 6am Monday 29 May 2017:
    • two lanes maintained on Port Road for westbound traffic between South Road and Coglin Street

South Road:

  • from 7pm Friday 26 May to 6am Monday 29 May 2017
    • one lane maintained for southbound traffic between Dartmouth Street and McInnes Street
    • one lane maintained for northbound traffic between Gawler Avenue and Port Road
  • from 7pm Sunday 28 May to 6am Monday 29 May 2017
    • one lane maintained for traffic in both directions between Hindmarsh Avenue and Weber Street

Upgrade to arterial roads provide alternative routes during major road works on the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure has recently upgraded a number of arterial roads west of the City to ease congestion during the Torrens Road  to River Torrens Project.
