Linear Park Trail

The Linear Park Trail, under South Road near Taylor Bridge (bridge across the River Torrens) is temporarily opened.  As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be continuing works to widen Taylor Bridge into 2018.

 

 

Zone 3 – Hindmarsh Avenue to Grange Road

Bus Stops

Bus stop 10 and 11 (western side of South R0ad) are closed. Alternate bus stops are stop 9 (north of Adam Street) or stop 12 (Grange Road).

Zone 4 – Grange Road Bridge

Permanent Road Closures:

  • Bond Street (at South Road)

Bus Stops

  • Bus stop 12 on northern side of Grange Road will no longer be servicing the B10 and B12 buses. The nearest bus stop on Grange Road servicing routes B10 and B12 is stop 13 on Grange Road, 300 metres west of stop 12.

Zone 6 – Port Road Bridge

Bus Stops

Bus stop 9 on Port Road (south side) has been relocated 200 metres to the east, outside the Hope Inn car park.

The city bound bus stop on the north-east side of Port Road (Bus Stop 10) has been relocated 85 metres west to the other side of Queen Street. The out-bound bus stop on the south side of Port Road opposite Coglin Street (Bus Stop 8) has been closed, bus stop 9 is located outside of the Hope Inn. Signage is in place to advise bus users of these changes.

Pedestrian access:

The pedestrian crossing over South Road at Port Road (on the southern side of the intersection) will be closed from 7pm Sunday 14 January for approximately two weeks. The pedestrian crossing on the northern side of the intersection will remain open.

 

 

Zone 7 – Port Road to Robert Street

UPDATE: RAIL WORKS BETWEEN QUEEN STREET/CROYDON STATION AND WEST STREET – UNTIL LATE FEBRUARY 2018

UPCOMING NIGHT WORKS ON SOUTH ROAD BETWEEN HAWKER STREET AND MCINNES STREET, RIDLEYTON – 15 JANUARY – 1 FEBRUARY 2018

Temporary traffic arrangement: 

From 8pm Thursday 18 January to 6am Monday 22 January

  • South Road will be temporarily closed to southbound traffic between Hawker Street and Port Road.

 Day Terrace (eastern side of Elizabeth Street) from mid-January to end February 2018 (approximately)

  • Left in / left out turn movements into Day Terrace from Elizabeth Street will be available.
  • Right turn movements into Day Terrace from Elizabeth Street will be permitted.
  • Left in / left out access from South Road into Day Terrace will be temporarily closed from 7pm Friday 12 January for a period of approximately two weeks, while final road works are completed at the South Road/Day Terrace junction.

Temporary Road Closure (dates subject to change):

  • McInnes Street (at South Road) (no pedestrian access available)
  • Ridley Street (at South Road)
  • Forster Street (at South Road) will be closed from 10 January 2018 for a period of two weeks.

Permanent Road Closures:

  • Princes Street (at South Road)
  • Euston Terrace (at South Road)

Pedestrian and cyclist access:

West Street

From 6am Monday 8 January to end February 2018 (approximately), the West Street pedestrian crossing will be temporarily closed to pedestrians, to complete asphalting and kerbing works at this location.

 

The Croydon Station pedestrian underpass will remain temporarily closed until late January 2018.

Queen Street pedestrian rail crossing –  Pedestrian and cyclists will be able to cross at the level crossing on the eastern side of the level crossing via the maze way with the assistance of traffic controllers.

The pedestrian maze way on the western side of the crossing is currently under construction.

 

 

Zone 8 – Outer Harbor Rail Bridge

  • South Road will be temporarily closed to southbound traffic between Hawker Street and Port Road.

The Croydon Station pedestrian underpass will remain temporarily closed until late January 2018.

Queen Street pedestrian rail crossing –  Pedestrian and cyclists will be able to cross at the level crossing on the eastern side of the level crossing via the maze way with the assistance of traffic controllers.

The pedestrian maze way on the western side of the crossing is currently under construction.

West Street

Zone 12 – Torrens Road to Sunbeam Road

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH ON THE EASTERN SIDE OF SOUTH ROAD BETWEEN TORRENS ROAD AND BISHOP STREET, RENOWN PARK- FROM 22 JANUARY FOR FOUR WEEKS

Sunbeam Road

Access to Sunbeam Road is provided via a one way service road. Entry to the one way service road will be from Overland Road, near the junction with South Road. To access South Road from Sunbeam Road, motorists will need to turn left on to the one way service road and merge on to South Road, just north of the Tait Street u-turn facility.

 

Temporary Road Closures (Subject to change):

  • Bishop Street at South Road is partially open to left turn movements on to South Road from Bishop Street. Left turn movements in to Bishop Street from South Road will not be permitted.
  • Tait Street (eastern side) at South Road is partially open to left turn movements from South Road into Tait Street. Left turn movements on to South Road from Tait Street will not be permitted.

  • Lamont Street (at South Road)

 

Zone 12A – Sunbeam Road to Royce Avenue

UPCOMING NIGHT AND WEEKEND WORKS: TRAFFIC SWITCH ON SOUTH ROAD BETWEEN PYM STREET AND TAIT STREET – OCTOBER 2017 – EARLY 2018

Pedestrian and cyclist access:

The footpath on the western side of South Road between Pym Street and Royce Avenue will be temporarily closed from 7am Monday 2 January 2018 for approximately three weeks.

Sunbeam Road
