Zone 1 – Torrens River to Adam Street

Temporary Road Closures (Subject to change):

Susan Street will be partially closed at South Road from 7pm Sunday 12 November to 6am Tuesday 21 November 2017.

  • Access on to South Road from Susan Street will be maintained.
  • Traffic will not be able to enter Susan Street from South Road.
  • Traffic wishing to enter Susan Street from South Road will be redirected to Manton Street or Adam Street.

Bus Stops

Bus stop 10 and 11 (western side of South R0ad) are closed. Alternate bus stops are stop 9 (north of Adam Street) or stop 12 (Grange Road).

Zone 4 – Grange Road Bridge

Permanent Road Closures:

  • Bond Street (at South Road)

Bus Stops

  • Bus stop 12 on northern side of Grange Road will no longer be servicing the B10 and B12 buses. The nearest bus stop on Grange Road servicing routes B10 and B12 is stop 13 on Grange Road, 300 metres west of stop 12.

Zone 6 – Port Road Bridge

Bus Stops

Bus stop 9 on Port Road (south side) has been relocated 200 metres to the east, outside the Hope Inn car park.

Following the Stage 3 traffic switch (7-8 May 2016), the city bound bus stop on the north-east side of Port Road (Bus Stop 10) has been relocated 85 metres west to the other side of Queen Street. The out-bound bus stop on the south side of Port Road opposite Coglin Street (Bus Stop 8) has been closed, bus stop 9 is located outside of the Hope Inn. Signage is in place to advise bus users of these changes.

 

Zone 7 – Port Road to Robert Street

Temporary Road Closure (dates subject to change):

  • Day Terrace (east of Elizabeth Street) will partially re-open to motorists at Elizabeth Street on a temporary basis from 6am Saturday 11 November 2017:
    • Left turn movements in to Day Terrace from Elizabeth Street will be available.
    • Right turn movements in to Day Terrace from Elizabeth Street will not be permitted.
    • Access from Day Terrace on to Elizabeth Street will not be permitted.
    • Left turn movements in and out of Elizabeth Street at South Road will continue to be available.
  • McInnes Street (at South Road) (no pedestrian access available)
  • Ridley Street (at South Road)
  • Coglin Street will be temporarily closed between Ridley Street and First Street to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists from 6am Wednesday 13 December 2017.
  • West Street pedestrian crossing will be temporarily closed between Ridley Street and First Street to pedestrians and cyclists from 6am Monday 25 September to 6am Wednesday 13 December 2017.
  • Queen Street level crossing will partially re-open to motorists at 6am Saturday 11 November 2017, from this time:
    • Access across the level crossing from Queen Street to Elizabeth Street (northbound) will be reopened.
    • Motorists wanting to cross the level crossing from Elizabeth Street to Queen Street (southbound) will continue to be redirected to South Road or Rosetta Street.
    • The level crossing will be intermittently closed for further works, and advance notice will be provided to local residents and businesses.

Permanent Road Closures:

  • Princes Street (at South Road)
  • Euston Terrace (at South Road)

Pedestrian and cyclist access:

The Croydon Station pedestrian underpass will be closed from 25 September to 15 January 2018.

Queen Street pedestrian rail crossing – The pedestrian maze has been removed and a temporary access ramp has been installed across the rail lines. Pedestrians will be able to cross at the ramp with the assistance of traffic controllers.

Temporary traffic arrangements

 Coglin Street

  • Coglin Street will be temporarily closed between Ridley Street and First Street to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists from 6am Monday 25 September to 6am Wednesday 13 December 2017.

West Street

  • West Street pedestrian crossing will be temporarily closed between Ridley Street and First Street to pedestrians and cyclists from 6am Monday 25 September to 6am Wednesday 13 December 2017.

Queen Street

  • Queen Street level crossing will partially re-open to motorists at 6am Saturday 11 November 2017, from this time:
    • Access across the level crossing from Queen Street to Elizabeth Street (northbound) will be reopened.
    • Motorists wanting to cross the level crossing from Elizabeth Street to Queen Street (southbound) will continue to be redirected to South Road or Rosetta Street.

Sunbeam Road

From 6am Monday 9 October 2017 access to Sunbeam Road will be provided via a one way service road. Entry to the one way service road will be from Overland Road, near the junction with South Road. To access South Road from Sunbeam Road, motorists will need to turn left on to the one way service road and merge on to South Road, just north of the Tait Street u-turn facility.

  • Bishop Street at South Road will be partially open from 7pm Sunday 19 November to 6am Friday 22 December 2017.
    • Left turn movements on to South Road from Bishop Street will be available.
    • Left turn movements in to Bishop Street from South Road will not be permitted.

    • Left turn movements in to Overland Road from South Road will be available.
    • Left turn movements on to South Road from Overland Road will not be permitted. Motorists will be detoured via Charron Road and Pym Street.

 

  • Sunbeam Road at South Road will be temporarily closed from 7pm Sunday 19 November to 6am Friday 22 December 2017.
