As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, and as previously advised, the T2T Alliance will be undertaking finishing works prior to the final layer of asphalt being laid across the project area.
To minimise disturbance to peak hour traffic, and weather permitting, these works will be undertaken intermittently each night between 7pm and 6am from Monday 8 October to Thursday 11 October (finishing 6am Friday 12 October) and over the period from 7pm Friday 12 October to 6am Monday 15 October.
Key activities
Noise and Vibration
Construction noise and vibration on a major infrastructure project cannot be eliminated altogether. The project is implementing a range of measures for these activities to manage the impact which include:
Vibration felt from construction works do not necessarily cause structural damage or damage to your property.
Odour
The laying of pavement and asphalting will cause an odour. Odour sensitivity and responses vary from person to person. Your ability to detect an odour will depend on the location of the asphalting works and the prevailing wind direction. While the odour may be uncomfortable or an annoyance there is no evidence that the odour from road pavement works will cause health effects to the community.
